"Ambrosia” is derived from the Greek ambrotos where a- ("not") and mbrotos ("mortal"). The literal translation of Ambrotos into English would be the word Immortal.
The logo was created taking Greek mythology into consideration. Ambrosia is sometimes the food, sometimes the drink, of the gods, often depicted as conferring ageless immortality upon whomever consumes it.
It was brought to the gods in Olympus by doves, hence the logo.
